Tutoring Services Agreement & Terms of Use

This Tutoring Services Agreement and Terms of Use (“Agreement”) is entered into between you ("Client" or "User") and Tactile Tutoring (“Tutor,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account, scheduling a session, or using our website or services, you agree to the terms below.

1. Services Offered

We provide two types of tutoring sessions at a cost:

Personal Tutoring: $60 per session, one-on-one instruction.
Group Tutoring: $80 per session, for 2–4 students.

All appointments are in-person at a location mutually agreed upon during scheduling.

2. Scheduling Policy

All appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
An account is required to schedule, reschedule, or cancel a session.
Availability is limited and appointments are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Payment & Refund Policy

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.
The remaining balance is due at the start of the session.
Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session start time or no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

4. Account Terms

By registering for an account:

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for any violations of these terms.

5. Use of Services and User Behavior

Users agree to:

Treat all participants (students, tutors, other users) with respect.
Not use our services or platform for any unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable behavior.
Refrain from promoting or distributing spam, advertisements, or unauthorized commercial content.
Not interfere with or disrupt the operation of our website or services.

We reserve the right to remove content, cancel appointments, or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All content provided on our website or during tutoring sessions, including written materials, instructional tools, lesson plans, and visuals, is the property of Tactile Tutoring unless otherwise noted.

You may not:

Reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display materials without written permission.
Use any part of our content for commercial purposes without our explicit written consent.

You may:

Use provided materials for personal learning and non-commercial purposes.
Attribute content to our business when sharing small excerpts with others, if permitted.

7. Limitations & Liability

We strive to ensure all content and services are accurate, timely, and functional, but we cannot guarantee:

That our website will be free of interruptions, errors, or security breaches.
That all educational content will be free from errors or fully meet your expectations.

We are not liable for any losses, damages, or academic outcomes resulting from the use of our services or materials.

8. Right to Modify or Withdraw Services

We reserve the right to:

Modify session pricing or service structure with reasonable notice.
Cancel or reschedule services due to unforeseen circumstances.
Make changes to this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Agreement Acceptance

By creating an account, scheduling a session, or using any part of our website or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement in full.

Return and Refund Policy

1. Tutoring Services

Refunds for Sessions

A 50% deposit is required when booking.
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled session are eligible for a full refund of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment are not eligible for a refund.
No-shows are also non-refundable.
Refunds (when applicable) will be issued within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

2. Learning Tools, Curriculum, and Study Plans

Return Terms

You may request a return or refund within 14 days of your purchase.
To be eligible:
- Physical items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.
- Digital products (PDFs, videos, curriculum, etc.) are non-refundable once downloaded or accessed unless the product is defective or was delivered in error.

Reason for Return

Acceptable reasons include:
- Damaged or defective product
- Incorrect item sent
- Accidental duplicate purchase

Return Process

To initiate a return or refund request:

Email us at sandy@tactiletutoring.com with the subject line “Return Request – [Order Number]”.
Include your full name, date of purchase, and reason for return.
For physical items, we will provide return instructions and a shipping address.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.

3. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect the returned item or validate the claim for digital products, we will notify you of approval or rejection.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
If your refund is late or missing, please check with your payment provider first, then contact us at sandy@tactiletutoring.com if needed.
